A young cellist disappointed bu the ruthless music industry moves back to the mountain village where she was born. There she finds a broken apart family and a community struggling with the first effect of climate change. Could the music help reunite them all again?
I’ve been involved very early on in this project as a consultant during the scriptwriting process. The story involved a cellist and a male choir and they would sing the original score already during the shooting.
I tried to imagine how people from a small village would react to some exotic never heard before almost invented language vaguely inspired by Native American chants.
The director loved the idea and we built all the soundtrack upon three elements: male choir, cello and sparse electric guitars and electronic elements.
